Fossil Digs
Mobile Fossil Hunt
The fossil site comes to your class or school. A trailer becomes the fossil site, parked in your own backyard. Full of easy digging sand and fossils, the trailer is easy pickin's for students. Recommended for K-6, students dig easily through the sand with their hands. Each time they find a fossil they must identify and label it before returning to the dig. Fossils are identified by books and charts and matching fossils displayed nearby. After the hunt, problem fossils are identified, all finds are discussed, and any questions answered. Everyone keeps their finds.
